The stereo image on this song is great. Sort of reminds me of Age of Empires for some reason.

Emid responds:

Ahh...old memories. Now I listened to it in this way and yeah...you are kinda right to some extent. Thanks a bunch for passing by. Much appreciated :)

Killer playing. Your Tone reminds me of old school John Petrucci.....
If you don't mind me asking....

How was this recorded and what guitar did you use?

RobSoundtrack responds:

Thanks man; i appreciate it

Rhythm guitar was a 7 string Ibanez RG with a crunch lab (petrucci pickup lol)
Leads on an S570 with a hybrid pickup i made out of two duncans.

Some pedals I made, engl pre, blackstar pwr amp, emi wizard, e609/sm57 mix

Bunch of vsts in cubase

Better than the original(well as good as that could be). Your synth sounds awesomer.

Step responds:

Haha nah the original beats this by far. And the original is also crap. IMO of course :3.

Thanks for reviewing!

Your mind must be an interesting place, Nov. Its amazing how you whip these up.

Piper responds:

It's a dark and scary place actually. Have never had a night without dreams. Strings of dreams. And I can recall every dream I have ever had more vividly than a day that I have lived. The end of the world, outer space, exotic yet frightening places, but sometimes, if I quiet my subconscious just enough, I get to steer. And when I do, adventure ensues.

Very good. Kinda reminds of the backing tracks in Simcity. Very smooooooooth. Production-wise, it sounds like Neil Young was your engineer. lol

Btw the I can mix and master it for you if you want(don't judge my abilities from my posted work on here), I just got some new software and my new recordings are sounding great.

camoshark responds:

Thanks, man, I'm humbled to be compared to Simcity's OST, as I very much respect the author and the work in question!

As for the assistance proposal, let's move to PM, but I could be interested.

Cheers

Nice work. Reminds me of the end of Megaman 3 for some reason. I love the synth...is it a VST?

OpenLight responds:

Thanks! The orchestral and piano synths are soundfonts I got. The others I made in 3xosc and should be somewhat simple.

Fantastic. I'm speechless. This is very well done.

Step responds:

Wow thanks! Very happy you enjoyed it.

You really sound psychotic. Nice job! :D

Piper responds:

Muahaha. Thanks ^.^

Interesting little piece. Relaxing. For some odd reason I think it would be awesome if you mixed in some of William Shatner's voice.

LazyBucks responds:

LOL!

Cheers man.

Kinda a nifty. Very atmospheric! it would be great for a creepy-ish movie. It gets a bit repetitious though, I think it needs a breakdown of some sorts.

la-yinn responds:

Yeah I tinkered with the idea of a second drop with a gated half tempo thrash part, but really couldn't stand listening to that gritty bass 100x over. These demons were simply too hard to resist.....

Thanks for reviewing!

I'm a guitar player and wanna-be audio engineer. I love recording and playing music. Check out my songs here on newgrounds.
